Our Story
The journey of Prayer flow began with a simple observation: while there were many Islamic apps for prayer times and Quran, and many productivity apps for task management, there was nothing that truly integrated both worlds effectively.
As a software developer and practicing Muslim, I was juggling multiple apps - one for prayer times, another for tasks, and yet another for spiritual reminders. The constant switching created friction, and I noticed that my most productive days were those when I naturally organized my work around prayer times.
But there was another problem troubling me. In 2020, I read about how a popular Islamic app was selling user location data to third parties, even military contractors. This deeply concerned me - Muslims using an app for spiritual purposes were having their privacy violated in ways they never consented to.
That's when I decided to build something different: a productivity app specifically designed for Muslims that would:
- Integrate task management around prayer time blocks
- Add the dimension of spiritual intention (Niyyah) to tasks
- Respect user privacy completely - keeping all data on-device
- Be transparent, ethical, and true to Islamic values
We started small, with a simple MVP focused on these core principles. As more Muslims discovered and used the app, we've carefully added features based on user feedback while never compromising our core values of privacy and simplicity.
Today, Prayer flow is helping thousands of Muslims worldwide structure their day around prayer times, bringing barakah to both their spiritual practice and worldly productivity. We're committed to continuing this journey, building ethical technology that serves the Muslim ummah without compromise.

2023
The Idea Takes Shape
After experiencing privacy concerns with existing apps and juggling multiple apps for productivity and prayer, the idea for Prayer flow was born. Initial research and concept development began.
2024
Beta Launch
The first beta version of Prayer flow was launched to a small group of testers. Initial feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with users appreciating the privacy-first approach and the integration of tasks with prayer times.
2025
Public Launch & Growth
Official release of Prayer flow to app stores. Introduction of Barakah Analytics, enhanced task management, and a growing community of users sharing feedback and suggestions.
