How do I download the app?

Prayer flow is available on iOS and Android. You can download it from theApp StoreorGoogle Play Store.

Do I need to create an account?

No, you don't need to create an account to use Prayer flow. The app works completely offline and stores all data locally on your device. However, if you want to sync data between devices (Premium feature), you'll need to set up an optional account.

How do I set up my location for prayer times?

You can manually enter your city or coordinates. All calculations happen on your device - your location is never sent to our servers.

What permissions does the app need and why?

The app requests the following permissions:

• Notifications - For prayer time alerts and task reminders
• Storage - To save your app data locally on your device

We request only the minimum permissions needed for functionality. You can deny any permission, though some features may be limited.

How are prayer times calculated?

We use standard astronomical calculations to determine prayer times based on your location's coordinates. The app supports multiple calculation methods including Muslim World League, Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Egyptian General Authority of Survey, Umm al-Qura University, Makkah, University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi, Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran, and Shia Ithna-Ashari.

Why are the prayer times different from my local mosque?

Local mosques may use slightly different calculation methods or adjust times for community convenience. You can adjust the calculation method in Settings to match your local mosque, or use the "Manual Adjustment" feature to add or subtract minutes from each prayer time.

How do I change between Hanafi and Shafi'i Asr time?

Go to Settings > Prayer Times > Asr Calculation Method, and select either "Standard" (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) or "Hanafi" method. This setting affects when Asr time begins according to the different fiqh opinions.

Does the app work when I'm traveling?

Yes! The app can update prayer times based on your current location.

How do I add a task to a specific prayer block?

On the Dashboard, tap the "+" button within any prayer block (Fajr to Dhuhr, Dhuhr to Asr, etc.) to add a task to that specific time block. You can also add a task from the Tasks tab and select which prayer block it belongs to.

What is "Niyyah" in the task creation form?

Niyyah (intention) is a unique feature that allows you to connect your worldly tasks to spiritual intentions. For example, when adding a work task, you might set the Niyyah as "Earning halal income for my family" or "Contributing beneficial knowledge." This helps transform ordinary tasks into acts of worship through intention.

Can I set recurring tasks?

Yes, when creating or editing a task, tap on "Repeat" to set a recurrence pattern. You can choose daily, weekly, monthly, or custom patterns (e.g., every Monday and Wednesday). This is perfect for regular habits like Quran reading, exercise, or weekly meetings.

How do I prioritize tasks?

When creating a task, you can set Priority levels (High, Medium, Low). High priority tasks will appear at the top of each prayer block. You can also manually rearrange tasks by dragging them in the list.

My prayer notifications aren't working. How do I fix this?

If prayer notifications aren't working, try these steps:

1. Check if notifications are enabled in your device settings for Prayer flow
2. In the app, go to Settings > Notifications and ensure prayer alerts are turned on
3. Check if Do Not Disturb or Focus mode is active on your device
4. For Android users, ensure battery optimization is disabled for the app
5. Restart the app and your device

If the issue persists, please contact support with your device model and OS version.

How do I customize the Adhan sound?

Go to Settings > Prayer Times > Adhan Sound. You can choose from several pre-loaded Adhan recordings, use a simple beep, or set to silent/vibrate only. Premium users can upload custom Adhan recordings.

Can I set different notification sounds for different prayers?

Yes, in Settings > Prayer Times > Adhan Sound, you can customize each prayer individually. For example, you might want a louder Adhan for Fajr but a gentler notification for prayers during work hours.

How do I set early reminders before prayer times?

Go to Settings > Prayer Times > Early Reminders. You can set an additional reminder before each prayer time (e.g., 15 minutes before). This is useful for preparing for prayer, finishing up work, or making wudu.

Is my data sent to your servers?

No. All your data (prayer logs, tasks, notes) is stored locally on your device by default. We do not collect, store, or have access to any of your personal data. Premium users have the option to enable encrypted cloud backup, but this is completely optional.

How do I backup and restore my data?

For local backup, go to Settings > Data > Export Data to create a backup file on your device. You can then save this file wherever you choose (cloud storage, email to yourself, etc.).

To restore, go to Settings > Data > Import Data and select your backup file.

Premium users can enable automatic encrypted cloud backup in Settings > Data > Cloud Backup.

What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?

If you uninstall the app without creating a backup, all your data will be permanently deleted. We recommend creating a backup before uninstalling. If you're a Premium user with cloud backup enabled, your data will remain safely stored and can be restored when you reinstall.

Is the cloud backup secure?

Yes. Premium users' cloud backups are encrypted on your device before being uploaded. We use end-to-end encryption, meaning we cannot access the content of your backups. You control the encryption key, which is never sent to our servers.

What features are included in Premium?

Premium includes:

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account:

• For iOS: Open App Store > your profile > Subscriptions > Prayer flow > Cancel
• For Android: Open Google Play > Menu > Subscriptions > Prayer flow > Cancel

After canceling, you'll still have access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period.

Is there a lifetime subscription option?

Yes, we offer a lifetime purchase option as an alternative to the monthly/annual subscription. This is a one-time payment that gives you permanent access to all Premium features and future updates. You can find this option in the app under Settings > Premium > Lifetime Access.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with Premium, contact our support team within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. For subscription refunds beyond this period, please contact Apple or Google directly, as they handle all payment processing.
